Hanyang University
is once again leading the way.

In 2017, Hanyang University opened Korea's first ICT Convergence Department. To bridge the gap between the needs of various industries and existing academic disciplines, we cultivate new future-oriented talent by offering majors in Media, Culture, and Design Technology, alongside the Design Engineering Convergence major and the New Industry Software Convergence major.

To leap forward as the world's premier hub for convergence research and talent development, Hanyang University is once again taking the lead. To cultivate advanced convergence research professionals, we are introducing Korea's first graduate department bearing the name Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

The Department of Human-Computer Interaction at Hanyang University Graduate School opens its doors in March 2018 to lead future research in the nation's ICT convergence industry and cultivate internationally competitive research talent. Convergence-based interdisciplinary research and the cultivation of advanced research talent through it!

Please watch as Hanyang University's HCI Graduate School cultivates global talent and develops into a hub for interdisciplinary research.

Thank you.

Course Introduction

Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a field of study that researches the theories behind how humans and technology interact and the resulting phenomena.

The HCI Graduate School will cultivate HCI experts through interdisciplinary research integrating engineering with humanities, design, and psychology, thereby contributing to the nation's future development and the creation of new markets.

To this end, our department operates three main tracks.
